Meet the Director
Skylar Larson
Founder & Director · 1133 Dance Project

Skylar Larson began dancing at the age of nine, quickly developing a deep passion for the art. She competed at regional and national levels throughout her youth, and by sixteen was already sharing that passion by teaching students ages 2 to 18.

Her teaching philosophy goes beyond steps and technique — it's about helping each student discover their own artistry and perform with genuine emotion. She believes discipline and creative expression aren't opposites; they're the foundation of truly great dancing.

At 19, Skylar opened 1133 Dance Project to give Grass Valley dancers the opportunity to train recreationally and competitively in one supportive, driven community. Through structured yet creative classes, she aims to share the transformative power of dance — helping students connect with themselves and the world around them in a meaningful way.
